Deputy First Minister Commends eCom Scotland’s Internationalisation
eCom Scotland was delighted to host John Swinney, Scottish Government's Deputy First Minister, the 10th of March at its Dunfermline offices. The visit coincided with the publication of the Scottish Government’s Global Scotland Trade and Investment Strategy 2016-2021, which sets out new actions to attract investment, drive exports and promote Scottish interests globally, including developing Scotland into a global innovation centre

eCom has achieved 30% year on year revenue growth for the last 3 years and doubled staff numbers through a series of product launches and expansion into new markets.
Mr Swinney heard about eCom’s award-winning work with RNIB on accessible eLearning for blind and partially-sighted people and a digital accreditation project at a US state university. He also watched a demonstration of eNetAuthor, eCom’s new eLearning authoring tool which helps project teams to work together more effectively.
John Swinney, said “eCom Scotland is an excellent example of a digital company with ambition and determination to reach a global market from a base here in Scotland.
Wendy Edie, eCom Scotland’s Managing Director, said “It’s our focus on R&D which has enabled us to develop innovative technologies for workforce learning and assessment, an industry valued at $4 billion globally. We have used experience from UK projects to identify opportunities to lead best practice internationally. Helping us expand into new markets and create digital jobs in Scotland.”
